A Revolutionary Dog Training Harness

The Crosscheck Harness is the best harness to control your dog's pulling desire by requesting attention via their girth. It functions similarly to a martingale collar but instead requests attention around the dog's girth rather than its neck. This alternative limited-slip system allows the handler to request attention as the dog begins to pull, teaching the dog to walk beside them in an effective and humane way while doubling as a solution for escape artists. (US Patent App. No.17/603,903)

The side attachment feature is most effective when the dog is on the left side of the handler (although it is possible to switch this over for right hand walks). For Best Results pair with a short non-shock absorbing leash such as the Vario 4 Leash.

An Escape Proof Dog Harness

Using a simple figure eight configuration, this secure harness is incredibly easy to fit and hard for escape-prone dogs to wiggle out of. The front section of the harness goes over the dog's head much like a Quick-Fit Harness, with the girth strap completing the fitment with a simple side release buckle connection. Here's why the Crosscheck makes a great no- escape harness:

  • Adjustable: The more points of adjustment a harness has, the more snug fit —and escape-proof—it will be. Always measure your dog to find the right size to start with. Our adjustable straps help you get the perfect fit or a large dog or small dog.
  • Durable material: If your dog pulls, chews or tugs to get out of the harness, you'll need a harness with strong material.
  • Extra strap: The belly strap helps keep your dog secure in the harness.
  • Martingale attachments: The side martingale style attachment system gives extra control over dogs that pull.

The Perfect Training Harness For Escape Artist Dogs

The Crosscheck Harness has been successfully tested on different sizes and breeds for no pull training. This particular harness is perfect for puppies and young dogs that are in training. Teaching a dog at a young age not only not to pull, but to walk on the side makes for pleasant walking for years to come. The unique Crosscheck Harness feature can also be used to remedy the bad habits of a fully-grown dog that pulls.

With two leash attachment points, the handler has the option of using the harness as a dog training harness or walking harness.

  • Caution: Do not leave on dog unattended.
  • Caution: PLEASE do not ever leave a dog tied up. Doing so with any EzyDog harness or collar will void the warranty. Thanks for caring about the safety of your dog!

For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

  1. Place front loop, (section with silicone liner) over dog's head.
  2. Unclip side release buckle, and feed rear webbing around dog's girth
  3. Reconnect side release buckle and tighten until snug, but not too tight (being able to fit one or two fingers in between the strapping is ideal)

    AMAZING!

We have only had this harness for a day and it is LIFE CHANGING. It seems a little confusing at first on how to put it on but once you adjust it to the correct size it is a breeze. We have an 80 lbs Pit bull/Great Dane mix who pulls a lot on his leash. We used it for the first time yesterday and there was no pulling at all! He stayed right next to us - it was great. We recently purchased the Neo Mongrel Web leash from a local pet store which is basically just a handle but when you pair it with this harness it is perfect - especially if you take your dog out and about and want them to stay close to you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

    Comfortable no-pull

Posted by Robert on 6th Feb 2020

I use this harness for my golden retriever for daily walks. It's very easy to put on and it's very effective preventing pulling. I've tried at least 4 different "no-pull" harnesses and this has been by far the best at preventing pulling and it does so without any perceived discomfort for my dog. Maybe the best part is the fact that it doesn't loosen on its own during walks nor does it get twisted. Very happy with this purchase.

    Crosscheck harness

A very well made harness. The stitching and materials are sturdy. The red and gray colors look great on my white, lab mix. It truly is a martingale type collar that tightens around the chest as a dog pulls. We had a whippet and are very familiar with a martingale collar that keeps a dog from slipping out of their collar as they pull or quickly start This chest-pull got my current dog's attention and she quickly sat in reaction to the tightening on her chest. After she got used to it, it doesn't completely stop the pulling but does greatly reduce it. Since this d ring is on the dog'side, it keeps the dog walking next to you instead of in front. A very important addition is the d ring on the harness that rests on the dog's back. This allows for either buckling a dog in a car safely or for walking your dog without the martingale pull. The other positive is the lining around the collar portion which encourages it to stay in place. We do have to make sure that the buckle portion is on the collar side of the loop's crossing, otherwise the harness will hang around her chest to the side. I am happy to have a new choice in harnesses and it has become my dog's 'go to' harness.
