Last summer I couldn't get Maggie into the water. Maggie is 2 and she can't really swim. She slaps the water and ends up vertical. I borrowed a life jacket from a friend. It was big on her, but it helped. With the Ezydog DFD she likes swimming. The extra length over other jackets gets her rear end up almost immediately so she swims on the surface, even a bit higher than normal. Now she swims with me in the Columbia River and fetch sticks in the water without fear of drowning.

Bought two of these vests, a large for our 90 lbs lab and an x-large for our 130 lbs Great Pyr pony so we could have the doggies along for some low impact exercise swimming beside us while we high Sierra lake kayak. The large for the lab fits and looks great! He *loves* his vest as he's getting older and isn't as hyper in the water as he used to be. The x-large for the Pyr fits really well and he doesn't mind wearing it at all. However, he does look like a pig in a blanket in it due to the fact that he is so unbelievably long down the back and he dwarfs the vest a bit. But it works and it doesn't both him which is really important because he's a serious abuse case. He was scared of it the first time, but it only took twice for him to understand that when the vest comes out, we're hitting the lake. When Conan (the Pyr) starts to get tired he swims back to shore towing the kayak with him and he just doesn't seem to have to work very hard while wearing the vest. These vests have given me peace of mind knowing that my dogs are safe and have opened our world up to explore a little further out that we would be comfortable doing without them. Thank you!

It keeps my dog afloat, so it does its job. However, with all the straps and slack in the straps, my dog looks pretty silly and tends to get the straps caught on stuff. He even bites at the straps. I wish there was a way to hide the straps. Otherwise, it works fine. EzyDog Says: Thank you for your comment. A smaller size may be the solution if excessive adjustment is needed.

After some research, we selected EzyDog. Had to call for sizing advice, but representative was spot-on with sizing. The vest is light and appears to be comfortable for our dog, a 65 lb. Golden/Collie mix. Putting it on is easy and adjustments simple. Vest keeps her afloat at a positive position for swimming. The vest looks durable and dries quickly. Very happy that we chose the EzyDog.

My dobergirl had become afraid of the water after falling off a dock. She wouldn't go in if her feet couldn't touch. Since she loves wearing 'stuff', I thought I'd give a life jacket a try. Problem solved! The EzyDog jacket fits her perfectly and keeps her body aligned just right. Now, she swims all over without any fear. Thank you for a wonderful product! Just wish you still had the pink camo one.. it would have looked great on my diva dog!

I have a Daschund and this life jacket would not bend over his body. EzyDog Says: Thank you for your comment. Your pup would be much better suited in a Micro DFD. After a few uses it will provide a comfortable fit and a great float.

I've bought cheaper life jackets for my dog and they tore up after a couple of uses. So glad I found an afford HIGH quality product and the fit is much better on my dog than others.

I found this jacket to have the best handle and D-ring to get fido back on board. Other jackets have too much material around the girth, causing overheating. Looks good as well.
