For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

- LOOSEN STRAPS AND UNCLIP BOTH BUCKLES
- WITH HARNESS ON THE GROUND, STEP DOG'S RIGHT LEG INTO POSITION WITH THE WIDER PART OF THE CHEST PLATE NEAREST THE DOG'S HEAD
- STARTING WITH THE NECK STRAP, CLIP STRAPS TOGETHER
- ADJUST STRAPS TO FIT YOUR DOG
TIP: KEEP THE NECK STRAP A LITTLE LOOSE SO THAT THE GIRTH STRAP DOES NOT PULL INTO YOUR DOG'S LEGS
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN STRAPS! WHEN FITTED CORRECTLY, HARNESS SHOULD BE SNUG, BUT TWO FINGERS SHOULD EASILY RUN BETWEEN STRAPS & DOG.

Chest plate harness and spring leash
Unfortunately I am returning both. I have a very rambunctious adopted 9 lb Doxie and was afraid harness couldn’t contain him. And would cut into him. Straps were very thin although seemingly well made. Chest plate came up under his chin enough to choke him when pulling. Buckle snaps were plastic and if one would break, while pulling, the whole harness would come off. Leash similarly thin and too fragile looking for my Barky Sparky!!! EzyDog Says: Hi Carolyn - Sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your harness and leash. The Chest Plate can be moved further down the dog's body by loosening the forward strap and tightening the rear. Although it uses plastic buckles, the harness is extremely strong and has a considerable break strength that would be more than enough to contain a 9lb dog. We recommended the our Zero Shock Lite Leash for smaller dogs as a standard leash is generally too cumbersome and the retention is too tight to assist with a small dog. Chest plate harness
Wonderful! It was recommended by several people on Facebook's "Chihauhau Daily News" and your description said dogs could not back out of it. Our Chi is an escape artist and her collar was causing a cough so I was worried about her trachea. The Chest Plate harness has been the perfect solution. She loves it, we love it and NO MORE COUGHING! Highly recommend!

Size and fit
I have been using an XS harness from here for about 1.5 years. It’s been great and the clip for the car is amazing. Our rescue was underweight when we adopted her and noticed her harness was getting a big snug and decided to order up to the small and it’s a huge jump. The plate and clips are enormous on her little 11-12 pound body. She doesn’t seem as comfortable in it as the first which had size appropriate slips and straps for a smaller dog. Disappointed in the odd jump in sizes. EzyDog Says: Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry the jump up to the Small is providing some fit challenges. We try to offer a great deal of sizing overlap to allow the best fit for each dog.

The chest plate dog harness has worked great for us! My dog is comfortable wearing it and we are both safe as she is fastened with a seat belt connecter and cannot jump around distracting the driver. It's exactly what I was looking for! Thank u EZYDOG.
