This saddleback harness has been a lifesaver for our giant Leonberger dog. I put a 3 lb weight in each side before we go for our walks. It is the same as if we had walked twice as far. It has definitely helped him stay calm and more well behaved plus he loves it when I put it on him and he knows it is time to go to work. I didn't think about the handle on the back when I bought this item but it has been an Aplus feature also. It is another tool for control that works well for redirecting your dogs attention to something not so apt to get your dog in trouble. I love that you can fasten the leash to a ring on top of the backpack or a similar ring on the backpack between the dogs legs. It is extremely durable and well made. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Much too small for my St. Bernard. Very happy with it. Fit was perfect. Adjusts easily. Sturdy and well-made. Stays on; doesn't move around. Easy to put on and take off. My pup seems very comfortable with it. Am very happy with all products I have purchased from Ezy-Dog.

I received the summit backpack about 2 weeks ago and we have been on two hikes so far. My pup has worn an ezydog vest for a long time now with an "in training" patch on it. She is being trained to be my medical alert dog for my allergies so she is very familiar with wearing a vest. When I took the backpack out of the packaging, my pup came over and sat in front of me, just like when we leave for work. The backpack was easy to put on, and adjust. I liked the two big pouches and how you could expand the smaller pockets by quickly unzipping them. Inside one of the smaller pouches there are a couple of mesh pockets to hold smaller items, like my chapstick, her snacks, and poo bags. Since we have only gone on a couple of hike we are still making small adjustments. The backpack fits great and stays in place, keeping the weight distributed well. The construction looks very well done and I expect the backpack to hold up for many years. We packed the summit backpack up with a few treats, about a cup of food, folding water bowl, two epipens, emergency inhaler, and poo bags. She did great on our hike in the Sierra Foothills and even seemed proud of her carrying her own trail snacks. I have to mention the appreciation for the I.D. Sleeve inside the pouch. I put her service dog card in there just in case we stop at the store on our way home. Princes Buttercup says thanks for the great pack and I will continue to purchase ezydog products.

Love this pack, would give it 5 stars if I could get Blaze Orange for the crossover of rifle and waterfowl season, would be better for safety purposes. I hunt with my Lab and we hike out to our blind, we carry a lot of gear. With a pack on my dog he can carry some of his own gear. I'm able to fit a camelbak of water in each pocket and the pack doesn't shift his around on his back.

This product is great except it seems to move around a lot when my dog runs. I'm relatively sure a strap under his middle would help avoid this. EzyDog Says: Thank you for your review! Our bully mix pulls so hard that it ruins walks for us. We bought this backpack hoping it would help slow him down a little. It works!! :) We use the backpack with the Cujo leash, and it is a magical combination indeed! Do measure though. We have what most people would call a "large" dog, but we ordered a medium after measuring. We were glad...we STILL had to cinch it up to make it fit him. He's a bit tall and lean.

I have 2 of these for my 2 large dogs they work great and hold a lot of stuff. They really make hiking with your dogs a fun outing. I've loved everything I get from Ezy Dog so far and I have a lot. With a total of 5 dogs everything has worked great so far. I plan on getting more when I can. I recommend all dog owners get one of these for their dog(s).

This is the first dog backpack that I have used so I don't have anything to compare it to. I specifically picked this one because it didn't have a bellyband that I thought might irritate my dog. But it bounced a little bit and it might be more secure with a bellyband. It did fit well and I liked the padding over the backbone, and the padded chest plate. I liked the design and size of the pockets. It is well-made with sturdy materials.
