I just received the chest plate harness for my black lab and it is a wonderful fit. I am really pleased with the product. It is hard to find a harness that fits well for a deep chested dog. It not only fits good but it also looks good.

This harness is one of the best harnesses around in my opinion because of it's simplicity in putting it on. You only need to have your dog step in on one side and then just clip the other side to back of the dog. It's easy on and easy off. I have tried just about every harness after my dog backed out of his martingale collar with his substitute dog walker, about a mile from home, crossed a busy street and ran the rest of the way home (thankfully!) He was always a great walker but had gotten spooked and thankfully knew just how to get home. From that point on, I've never had him walked since then without a harness. But there are so many types of harnesses and some are really difficult to get on and off, especially if the dog is new to a harness. This one is one of the easiest for both you and the dog. Try this one out.

So far, I've only been able to walk my very excitable dog with a choke collar but this harness is much more humane and makes walking her much more enjoyable. Plus, she looks snappy in it :)

Alrighty, so the reason I gave this a four stars as opposed to a five stars is because I had some collars from EzyDog that I used as their "gettin' dirty" collars. I switched to harnesses in both of them just because harnesses are easier on their neck. Unfortunately these weren't made out of the same material and the only harness version of the collars I saw is one that isn't nearly as well made. The chest plate can be a bit obnoxious since it holds dirt and grass in it (like I said, they are for getting dirty), but yeah. And the way the clip on I find a bit obnoxious, but I got around that by just keeping the strap that goes around the neck clipped and slip it over their head. So it offers you two different ways of putting it on. That was me being an optimist. So the good! I love that they come with the seat belt attachments, I haven't used them because my pair don't need them, but I still like that it came with them. I'm not big into reflective stuff, and don't go out of my way to buy it despite walking at night nearly daily (I like acting like a creature of the night and feeling not seen, which is the reason for the lack of liking reflective stuff), but the reflection material works really well and would glint even with just catching the street lights, and has not dulled in the few months I've had them. The chest plate really does mold to your dogs body after wearing it for a little while which is neat. My dogs don't choke in these harnesses at all, even when they are trying to rip my arm off chasing a rabbit. I have two dogs, a Jack Russell and a husky/terrier mix. It doesn't give my little jack russell any problems with her short coat, and my husky mix who has a scuffy five inch long coat doesn't get matted in this harness like he does in his "goin' in public" harness (my dogs could possibly be spoiled, I know). I had some other pluses that I'm blanking on because I'm watching tv in the background and its distracting.

I had found this harness a couple years ago at a local pet store (that has since closed). It turned out to be the best harness for my dog. Other harnesses either chaffed her legs, or were too complicated to easily get on her. Also she is a puller, and other harnesses made this more uncomfortable for her. The chest plate harness is a breeze to put on and take off. I feel more comfortable with the full chest plate when she is pulling. I just purchased a second as a back up when the first needs washing. It is a great harness!

This is the second harness for my Opie the Beagle alias Mr Energy. We bought him the same harness, except Camo, over two tears ago and was still usable just a little worn looking. He has to keep up his image for the other dogs around. WSould definitely buy again.

This harness is by far the easiest one to put on your dog! I have an English bulldog and this fits him perfectly and I love the camouflage that it comes in!!

Provides control that's hard to beat. Doesn't rub against the hair/skin, which is sometimes a problem with other harnesses. I am so glad I bought this - particularly in those instances where my dogs spot a squirrel!

I love this harness for my active 2 year old duck toller. It fits well, wears well and cleans up well. For the money I have found it to be the best harness available and one that allows my dog to breathe and not overheat. The design does not rub his skin or hold in heat. It looks great and in darkness the threads are reflective which is wonderful as we often night hike.
