For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

- LOOSEN STRAPS AND UNCLIP BOTH BUCKLES
- WITH HARNESS ON THE GROUND, STEP DOG'S RIGHT LEG INTO POSITION WITH THE WIDER PART OF THE CHEST PLATE NEAREST THE DOG'S HEAD
- STARTING WITH THE NECK STRAP, CLIP STRAPS TOGETHER
- ADJUST STRAPS TO FIT YOUR DOG
TIP: KEEP THE NECK STRAP A LITTLE LOOSE SO THAT THE GIRTH STRAP DOES NOT PULL INTO YOUR DOG'S LEGS
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN STRAPS! WHEN FITTED CORRECTLY, HARNESS SHOULD BE SNUG, BUT TWO FINGERS SHOULD EASILY RUN BETWEEN STRAPS & DOG.

Good harness but not big enough
My dog has a 38 inch girth and a 19 inch neck. I bought the XL so it's too small on the girth and too big on the neck. It looks like a good harness but I will stick with the quickfit for now. Thanks so much for your review. EzyDog says that the XL should fit, it sounds like you are at the max for the XL with your pup. We are happy you like your quickfit!

The best harness!!!
We are working with our dog on some leash issues, and it was VERY difficult to control her and also to make sure she would not escape from the leash...This chest plate harness is very secure, comfortable and helps us to keep her under control. Also, she seems more relaxed and she is improving her leas skills :-) Love it!

Best harness we've tried!
We have three chihuahuas and have had lots of trouble finding harnesses that fit them properly. The cotton comfort harnesses we used for a while were a joke...used a metal buckle and velcro to secure at the neck, which slipped, and with any pressure the harness just opened right up and the dog went running loose. The lupine harnesses I tried, the xs was too small (adjusted as big as it would go) and the next size up was too large (adjusted as small as it would go). I found these EZYDOG chest plate harnesses at Carealot and was able to fit the larger two with the size S in the store perfectly! Came here to get the XS for my smallest and it adjusts to fit her perfectly as well. I do wish there were more feminine color options for the XS, but I'm very happy with the fit and ease of use!

Seems comfortable
When I got my pit 3 months ago the owner had given me the harness that she had been wearing i notice that it was chewed up at the front, I also notice that much fur had been missing under the armpits. Not once so far she has tried to chew at the ezdog harness. Took a few tries to get it sized right but once sized it seemed like she didn't even notice that it was on her until I take it off her and she usually ends up licking the chest piece. It's also very easy to put on. Can't wait to test this out with a skateboard. Can't wait to order a convert harness, or just the summit pack so she can start hauling around stuff for herself and I.

Lion Tamer of a Harness
I bought this harness after i had tried others and they seem be a little tight around the under arm area, or chest. I bought this one after hearing alot of great things about it from friends so i took the plunge and bought it. My American Pit Bull Terrier loves this harness, and he is 10 times easier to control with it. I'm glad i bought it and will buy a extra just in case but next on my list is EZY Dog Zero Shock Leash. My dog likes to take off sometimes when i have him sitting, it will save me from having a arm yanked off hopefully :)
