For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

- LOOSEN STRAPS AND UNCLIP BOTH BUCKLES
- WITH HARNESS ON THE GROUND, STEP DOG'S RIGHT LEG INTO POSITION WITH THE WIDER PART OF THE CHEST PLATE NEAREST THE DOG'S HEAD
- STARTING WITH THE NECK STRAP, CLIP STRAPS TOGETHER
- ADJUST STRAPS TO FIT YOUR DOG
TIP: KEEP THE NECK STRAP A LITTLE LOOSE SO THAT THE GIRTH STRAP DOES NOT PULL INTO YOUR DOG'S LEGS
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN STRAPS! WHEN FITTED CORRECTLY, HARNESS SHOULD BE SNUG, BUT TWO FINGERS SHOULD EASILY RUN BETWEEN STRAPS & DOG.

Upgrade your standard nylon harness today.
I own three chest plate harnesses and couldn't be happier. My dogs never end up with burns beneath their armpits like regular nylon harnesses have caused in the past. The chest plate on the front serves two purposes...it keeps leash pressure from choking your dog while also protecting the dog's chest in the field. The harness is very easy to take on and off. I would not own a dog without one of these harnesses.

Good Looking and Great Fit
These harnesses fit my two dogs so well. Both are small dogs but being dachshund mixes have made it hard to find a good fitting harness. The double straps and buckles make it easy to custom fit each dog. I also LOVE that they came with the seat belt strap. Thanks!

Exceptional Product. I highly recommend!
We have a 'dog' who specializes as an escape artist.. that is until we purchased this chest plate harness. It's prevented her from innumerable attempts to slip out of the harness. I was a little worried about how it would hold up as some of the reviews weren't as positive as to it's strength and durability, but we've seen no problems and she's had it for a month. Our dog is close to 30lbs so not big, but when she sees a squirrel or chipmunk it's like trying to contain a freight time and this harness has held tough with NO sign of giving out.

Comfortable and lightweight
We own this harness for an American Bulldog and a Bluetick Hound. We use them all-year-round and own no other harness. For the bulldog, we use it to clamp onto a seat belt as well as for walks where he can't run free. The other dog must wear her harness on every walk since she will follow her nose for ten miles away from our rural home if allowed to run free! Even at the beach these harnesses do not irritate or overheat the dogs. They are durable and washable, too. The dogs love to see the harnesses, as they know an adventure is forthcoming!

Chest Plate too short for our Doberman Pinscher
We followed the Size and Fitting Instructions and ordered a Large for our 70 pound female Doberman. The Girth strap is at it's longest position and the strap still rubs against the back of her legs. We bought the Pink Camouflage harness and have received several nice comments about it - unfortunately the Chest Plate is just a little short for our big chested Doberman.

This harness is wonderful. We are now on our third one. We swim in the ocean, run trough the bush, roll in the sand etc. It is tough yet gentle on the dog. You have produced a wonderful product for dogs, Protects the neck and is very comfortable . Thanks

Love the look, functionality and fit but...
the harness keeps sliding to the left (the side that the buckles are on). I've adjusted the fit several times and have the harness adjusted properly. Will need to come up with some sort of solution for that problem. Other than that, the harness is well made, very cute and keeps me from pulling on the neck. EzyDog says: Thank you for your review. One of the great features of the Chest Plate Harness is that is moves very little. If you are seeing a great deal of movement, please continue to adjust the straps. You may need to loosen the neck and snug the girth. The chest plate will begin to form to your pup's chest over time, also creating more stability.
