What is a Martingale Collar?
The EzyDog martingale design provides more control over your dog without the risk of choking effects much like competitor slip collars and choke collars do. These adjustable dog collars are extensively used in dog training and also used to help keep your dog's head from slipping out of the collar during walks or when the dog gets overly excited. The EzyDog Checkmate martingale (control) collar is made with two loops. The larger loop is slipped onto the dogs neck and a leash is then clipped to the smaller loop. When the dog tries to pull, the tension on the leash pulls the small loop taut, which makes the large loop smaller and tighter on the neck, thus helping to prevent escape. When the Checkmate Collar is properly fitted, it will be comfortably loose without your dog noticing it much until the dog begins to pull.

This is a much better solution to keeping a tricky dog in it's collar. I don't like choke chains or any kind of chain for that matter. The buckle is great to make it easier to put on.

No Choker Chain Necessary
I can easily walk my 75lb Staffordshire with only this collar. No need for a choker chain that never really worked. Now I can simply click on her leash and take a walk. Makes my life and my dogs so much easier.

Great Collar
This is the second EZYDog collar we have purchased for our German Shepherd puppy. Looks like we will be buying a third as she continues to grow. What I love about the collar is that it immediately releases when there is slack in the leash. I have had other choke type collars that did not and continued to put pressure on my dogs neck. Love the thread that reflects at night. Good training collar for puppyhood.
