What is a Martingale Collar?
The EzyDog martingale design provides more control over your dog without the risk of choking effects much like competitor slip collars and choke collars do. These adjustable dog collars are extensively used in dog training and also used to help keep your dog's head from slipping out of the collar during walks or when the dog gets overly excited. The EzyDog Checkmate martingale (control) collar is made with two loops. The larger loop is slipped onto the dogs neck and a leash is then clipped to the smaller loop. When the dog tries to pull, the tension on the leash pulls the small loop taut, which makes the large loop smaller and tighter on the neck, thus helping to prevent escape. When the Checkmate Collar is properly fitted, it will be comfortably loose without your dog noticing it much until the dog begins to pull.
A Warning About Our EzyDog Checkmate Collars:
- Caution: Do not leave the d-ring collar on your pup unattended.
- Caution: PLEASE do not ever leave a dog tied up.Doing so with the EzyDog Collar will void the warranty. Thanks for caring about the safety of your dog!

All my dogs have always had EZY Dog leashes, collars and life jackets. The best!
These are the best collars. I had purchased one for my 240lb English Mastiff and there is still room, love the widths.
OMG this is the 1st limited slip collar I've ever seen w/a buckle! This collar is the best. I have a Rescue Malinois that's big as me. Less than 10lb weight difference & came w/a few bad habits. The worst being dog reactive on leash. I put this collar on him & its a miracle. He walks like a well trained dog! If he puts his hackles up or lunges, I just give it a little tug & he straightens right up. Even my friend that walks my dog noticed a difference & loves it. Make sure it's high on the neck & be gentle. The quality of EZ Dog gear, I believe this collar will last his whole life plus. Some of my old EZ Dog gear is on its 3rd dog I highly recommend⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recommend this collar to all my clients.
I really like these collars. They have a little bit of the choke chain action without the chain.
I wish you could make the small and medium a little wider. I don’t like how it grabs my Bichon’s neck. She’s 14 pounds but she is mighty when she pulls. It chokes her a little. EzyDog Says: Hi Linda — Sorry to hear of the discomfort. If you think your dog is experiencing too much discomfort, simply adjust the slider to widen the diameter of the collar. Thank god I found this EZ collar for my dog he's a fox terrier with a little neck. Most Martin gale collars are bulky and awful of the design sucks. This one by far is the best I believe you would be very happy with this one as I am. :-)
We've been using these collar's for years and years. We won't use any others. They are truly the best!!!!
One came with my 8 month old mini Aussie and I really liked it so looked on line and bought two. Very happy with them. They are very sturdy and I like that they release. Very good collar and I would recommend them to anyone.
