How to use Zero Shock™ Leash
Teach “Sit” (1–3 min reps)
- Clip the Zero Shock Leash to the front ring.
- Use the verbal cue "Sit".
- Lure dog’s nose up/back with a treat; stepping toward them while holding the leash tight may help.
- Click at the exact moment hips touch, then reward.
Teach “Stay” (build duration & distance)
- Cue Sit, say “Stay”, count 1–2 seconds, click and reward for holding position.
- Gradually increase time, slowly increase distance and minor distractions.
- If the dog breaks, calmly reset; keep criteria easy and successful.
Teach “Come” (recall)
- Start on the front ring of the X‑Link and slowly back up until you and your dog are as far apart as the leash will allow.
- Say “Come!”. If your dog does not immediately come when commanded, gently reel them toward you by pulling the leash.
- When the dog orients and moves toward you, click and reward at your feet.
- As you improve, increase distance by wither using a longer leash or going off-leash.
