DFD™ X2 Boost

My Belgian Malinois named Samson loves to swim in the ocean and fetch his Frisbee. He swims well, however this low profile vest helps keep him safe And allows him to pop back up to the surface quickly when he gets pummeled by big Surf.

He also loves running full speed and leaping through the air to catch his frisbee which this low Profile vest allows him to do for hours. Vest looks good on him as well:)

I have a part-Pomeranian with tons of long fur and the grab handle on the vest is flush with the fur and I keep grabbing fur with the handle. The handle is also located to far forward and puts way too much pressure on my dogs neck when I try to lift him from the living room floor. I can imagine it would be far worse with the dog soaking wet with water. Maybe it isn't meant for lifting, although I have seen people do it in review videos. The black trim at the top of the neck section is very stiff and uncomfortable. The trim should have been on the bottom of the neck section where it wouldn't rub at all. I don't mean to sound so harsh because the quality of the vest is superior. However, some of the more important qualities fall short for me. I want to use it when I kayak with my dog and I don't see this vest working for either one of us. Sorry...
