Pet Safety FAQ
What's the best way to keep dogs safe in the car?
Just like people, dogs should wear a pet seat belt in case of a crash. The safest way for dog owners to travel with dogs is to secure them with car seat belts or dog car harnesses.
How do you use a safety restraint?
This safety restraint features a simple design that clicks into the seat belt buckle and hooks around your dog's collar. Other devices like safety harnesses function similarly.
What should I do if my dog doesn't like the seat belt?
Have patience and try to get them used to it with treats, short trips, and practice buckling them in.
Where should a dog sit in the car?
The back seat is typically the safest place. It can be dangerous and distracting to have a dog in the front seat, especially in the event of an accident. Even sudden stops can cause severe injury to an unrestrained pet.

Too short
This was way too short. My dog couldn't even sit up when it's fastened. EzyDog Says: Hi Nancy - We're sorry to hear you are not pleased with your purchase. You may try pulling the slack in the seat belt to the desired amount of freedom before attaching the restraint to your dog. Please give this a try and if you need further assistance, please contact us at info@ezydog.com or 877-3EZYDOG.

Seat belt restraint
I like the ease of use, however, it slids down on the seatbelt making it a little difficult to get the dog unhooked.

Works to restrain to seat when movement is not advised
Recommend for shorter trips. Have small dog and it prevents her from moving around much on the seat. This is especially fantastic when just me and her in the vehicle, car or pickup, as she is smaller and very active dog. Also have the Dog Seat Belt, which instead of looping on the Seat Belt that is clicked in normally, the Dog Seat Belt is a single strap with the click implement that is clicked in instead of the seat belt. It allows the pup more room, yet prevents pup from wandering the car. Both will save pup from being thrown from a car, but neither will prevent injury to pup in accidents. This came with the harness I eventually ended up with. Must repeat what another poster has stated "DO NOT USE EITHER TYPE OF SEAT BELT RESTRAINT WITH ANY TYPE OF COLLAR!!! MUST BE USED WITH A HARNESS!!! PREFERABLY A HARNESS WITH ATTACHMENT BEHIND FORE LEGS, NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR BACK!!!!"

restraint
I tried to use this restraint for my 7 lb chiweeni. It holds him in place because he is smaller dog and does not need much wiggle room. However, I would have preferred the click belt and just adjusted to a shorter length. I Just don't feel like returning it. I will see if my mom wants it for her yorkie. I for sure did not like it for my larger dog. My Catahoula could not move. Only sit and stand. She felt frustrated. So I used the clip on for her and she was able to move and position herself comfortably in the back seat and also come to console to say hi and go back. It is adjustable so you can put the length exactly where you feel it needs to be. I wish I had bought two of the click restraints instead of one of each. Oh well, I did like the easy on harness for both the small chiweeni and the larger Catahoula. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND-- NOT TO ATTACH RESTRAUBT TO A NECK COLLAR. YOU MUST USE HARNESS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE DOGS NECK JERKING AND/OR HANGING UPON IMPACT
