FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE RIGHT HARNESS FOR MY DOG?

The right dog harness will depend on your needs. We offer several different types of dog harnesses, including:

  • Back-clip harnesses: These have leash attachments on the back of the harness and are a good source of control for your dog.
  • Front-clip harnesses: Also called no pull dog harness, these have a leash attachment point on the front of the harness and are designed to discourage pulling by redirecting the dog's attention towards the handler.
  • Dual-clip harnesses: These have attachment points on the front and back of the harness, giving handlers more control and flexibility.
  • No-pull harnesses: These are designed to discourage pulling and typically have a front leash attachment and a tightening mechanism.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EZYDOG HARNESSES?
  • Chest Plate Harness, a simple, adjustable, and super chest harness that with proper adjustments reduces chaffing.
  • X-LINK dog harness features a front clip d ring to act as a no pull harness for better control over your dog's movement. This front-clip harness encourages comfortable loose leash walking, when your dog walks by your side with no pulling or tension in the leash
  • Express is a back clip dog harness with reflective trim and soft hand feel for extra comfort
  • Crosscheck functions like a martingale collar, putting pressure around the girth relieving pressure on your dog's neck. Quickly slip over your dog's head and buckle to use.
  • QuickFit Dog Harness, a comfortable harness that will give you full control as you teach your pup new cues, train for flyball and other training activities;
  • Convert Dog Harness, a rugged harness designed for puppies that have an active lifestyle
WHAT SIZE HARNESS SHOULD I GET?

To get the best fit, measure your dog’s girth at the widest point around the chest. Use a flexible tape measure or a length of string and take the measurement just behind the front legs, around the largest part of your dog’s torso. EzyDog harnesses have sizing charts and recommended weight ranges for large and small dogs.

ARE HARNESSES GOOD FOR DOGS?
Yes! Harnesses provide a comfortable fit and are gentler than dog collars as a harness distributes pressure evenly across a dog's body, reducing risk of injury to your dog's neck or throat.
They can also provide better control of your dog and prevent them from slipping out of their collar, which is particularly important for smaller breeds.
WHO SHOULD USE A NO PULL HARNESS?
No-pull dog harnesses are good for training as they provide better control over your dog's movement. Dog trainers and dog owners use them to help teach leash manners. They're also a great everyday dog harness for dogs new to leash walking.
